Toowong Village’s vertical transport (VT) is in the second stage of upgrades and refurbishment.

The four travelators from B2 to Ground level were fully replaced in 2021.

Now the focus has turned to the two travelators from Gallery to Level 1, with temporary stairs and the tower lifts supplementing customers’ movement between levels.

Stage 3 will see a full replacement and realignment of the travelators from Ground to Gallery level. The iconic Observation Lift is also being replaced. All being original VT from the opening of Toowong Village in 1986, the time had come for a full upgrade, with completion anticipated prior to Christmas 2022.
