Aldi recently reopened at Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown with a new and larger format, increasing the footprint to 1,625 square metres and a complete store refurbishment to the latest layout and fitout specifications. Closed for 22 days the $1.9m works, were undertaken quickly and efficiently.

Centre Manager Lisa Castieau said that customers have enjoyed having three supermarkets at Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown since ALDI opened in 2008, adding that the larger and latest-format ALDI store has proven to be very popular with customers.

“With the latest and greatest Aldi store, together with Coles and Woolworths, our Sunnybank Hills shoppers are enjoying the best grocery offering under one roof.”

Development Manager Zaneta Van Der Westhuizen MRICS said that working with Peter Green from ALDI Stores Australia was efficient and results driven.

Zaneta thanked the Centre Management team and surrounding tenants, Reject Shop and the BCC Library, stating that their cooperation was key to the successful delivery of the project
